|Educational Qualification: |
1. Pass in 10+2 equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English a separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60% .
B.SC. in Physics, Mathematics Chemistry or Electronics with physics as individual subject in one of the year, with an average of not less than 60% of marks in the final year. OR
B.E./B. Tech. Degree from I.I.T. or from a college recognized by AICTE with an average of not less than 50% of marks in the final year. AND
2. The candidates should have obtained 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th Std. or in the Degree course conducted by recognized Board or any University.
Relaxation : 5% Relaxation in eligibility marks to SC/ST candidates. No relaxation in English language marks.
A candidate must have passed (10 + 2) Examination/ equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM), with not less than 60% aggregate marks in PCM and with minimum of 50% in English language at 10th or 12th Standard examination.
Date of Birth:
a. A. Male Candidates belonging to General (GEN) and other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) categories, the date of birth should fall between 02-02-1992 and 02-02-2000. OR
18 years on the date of commencement of the semester.
b. B. Female Candidates of General (GEN) and Other Backward Classes((OBC-NCL) categories, the date of birth should fall between 02-02-1990 and 02-02-2000 . OR
c. 20 years on the date of commencement of the semester.
d. C. Male and Female candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes(ST), the date of birth should fall between 02-08- 1987 and 02-0-2000. OR
e. 25 years on the date of commencement of the semester. Physical and Medical Standards:
Medically fit as per the standards set by Merchant Shipping Medical Examination Rules, 2000 as amended from time to time.
6/6 in each eye without visual aids. Normal colour vision. Candidates will have to undergo a full eyesight test conducted by the Mercantile Marine Department (MMD) before being finally selected for the programme.
